Christmas Fair 2017
Our Christmas Fair was held on December 2nd 2017 at The DY1 Building, Dudley. Everyone appeared to have a good time, although, because of the Dudley Town Centre lights being turned on, we did not have such a good turn-out as the previous year, which was a shame.
The cost to Access in Dudley to put on the fair was £166.96 including the room hire. However, we made a total of £431.15 and a clear profit of £264.19.
I would like to thank everyone who came to the fair for their help and participation, and particularly the following people:
Anne, who donated her total takings from her crochet stall of £81.50
Lorraine, for her donation of £16.00 from her stencil painting stall
Sandra and Gillian, Lorraine′s Mum for playing Mrs Santa and her elf and adding a further £4.00 to the total
Mary has to be thanked for the donation of the cake for the ‘guess the weight of the cake’ and the sweets for the ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’competitions.
The addition of the ‘guess the name of the reindeer’ also raised a further £19.00 to the total.
And we have to thank all those who donated to the tombola, which raised a fabulous total of £200.65. Not sure where the 65p came from, but every little helps, as they say!
All of the stall holders who paid for table hire, which added another £35.00 to the total taken on the day.
And a huge thank you to John Watson, who played his electric organ for us, and a particularly big thank you to members of the Black Country Brass Band who came to play carols for us. Thank you.
